Welcome! Today I'm joining the Christmas Home Tours hosted by Marty from A Stroll Thru Life and proxied this year by Simply2Moms where over 30 bloggers get together to share seasonal decor of their homes!  If you are stopping by on the blog tour hop from This Is Our Bliss welcome! Isn't Rachael's home beautiful and full of inspiration? Be sure to check out the bottom of this post for all the other Christmas decor inspiration going on this week!

You know how to make your Christmas season more magical? I figured it out a few years ago. Ready for it? Decorate your bedroom for Christmas. Add all the lights for a beautiful glow to fall asleep to or wake up to! Put them on a timer for ease :) Now do this to your kids room too. Instant magic! This year was the first year my daughter let me put a full size tree in her room, and now she's wishing she let me every year before that. It seriously is the best.

Now that I've talked you into, hopefully, decorating your bedroom for Christmas, I'm going to share with you mine! The theme of my Christmas decor this year is "cozy white cottage" and my bedroom lives up to it! I've added lots of chunky layers and textures, with different light sources to perfect the cozy feel no matter what time of day.

Christmas trees potted in vintage crocks are my favorite look. I've added them throughout my house and couldn't help by place some at the foot of my bed. For this bench, I added a slew of my old books just give a little more interest.

I carried on the vintage vibes to almost every corner of this room. I found these amazing lamps at my favorite vintage store a couple of months ago. They are milk glass and wood with some brass accents. I also included crocks with greenery on both nightstands. These kraft paper snowflakes are still a favorite of mine to decorate with during the winter months. (tutorial for the little ones here).

The pillows on my bed are more of my steals from Target a few years back. I have looked, and it seems they don't carry them anymore. I have linked a similar one at the bottom of this post. Layering didn't stop with the pillows though, I also added a faux fur rug onto my headboard to soften it up and bring another cozy element.

This clock on the nightstand was a thrift store find. I wasn't sure where to put it, but it found a good place right there. I added sets of three pieces above each nightstand with that beautiful hanging curio centered above my bed.

I added a simple green swag on top to ground the space. In the cubbies are some old brass candlesticks and a mix of old and new small frames.
Now for my favorite corner to wake up to! Can I just tell you much better it is to wake up to this, than a chair full of my husbands clothes? :) I keep waiting for him to just throw them on the tree, but so far they only make it the bench. I went a little non-traditional with the tree decorations by pretty much visiting the spring stems aisle :) Most of these I had, although a few of the hydrangeas I bought at 90% off from Michael's fall decor.
I added eucalyptus stems, burlap flowers, and of course just normal ol' ball ornaments. For the bottom, I decided to put this vintage inspired elm farm stool in here (for tutorial and hack click here). I added a basket from my childhood and filled it with frosted stems.
These candlesticks are a new find from this weekend. I literally had 3 women following me around the thrift store waiting for me to put them down. They are so beautiful! I got there just at the right time when they apparently just put them out. I decided to add them as another cozy element to this room atop the books.

You can't see very well in this picture, but here's where my Christmas tree corner is in relation to my bed. I have it on a timer so it goes off every night right before bedtime, and pops on about an hour before I wake up.

In one of my most recent posts about AI generated rooms, I saw that a few of them had beautiful garland draped over the windows. I decided to try it in here. I love how cozy it makes it feel! Just another added element that makes a difference and brings a smile to my face.
For this side of my bedroom, I have a faux fireplace mantel full of a village in a winter wonderland. I added more brass candlesticks and some thick sweater type garland.

And now to up the cozy factor! Here are a few pictures with the candles lit. To up a cozy factor in any room, it's important to include a couple of things: layers, textures, different lighting sources, and yummy smells :) Natural light, the light on the ceiling, the lamps, and then the candles all act to create a different cozy vibe throughout the day. Oh, and the tree lights! Don't forget those :)

Here's one last look at the main part of my bedroom. Walking in here (when it's clean) just makes me smile. I wish a fairy came every morning to make this room like this, ha! :) Apparently I am the fairy for this...and I fail miserably at my job haha.
As for my favorite smell to make this bedroom cozy for Christmas, I use my non-toxic AirMoji pods. They are the best and make my whole house smell amazing! My go-to fragrance in here is "I'll Be Home". It's warm vanilla bean with maple sugar and cinnamon spice. It's like walking into Christmas - best way to describe it :) Click below to see more!
