Mason Jar Lid Chalkboard Ornament

Happy 6th day of Christmas crafts! Today I'm going to share with you an ornament made out of something that I'm sure many of you have laying around....mason jar lids. I for one probably have 20 of these with no mason jars to attach them to. Why? I have no idea. So, I decided to turn a few of them into cute ornaments and put them to good use :)
Jute and chalkboard ornament made from mason jar lids
To start off, I took some chalkboard spray paint and painted the lid insert. I then wrapped some jute around the lid rim. When wrapping the jute, I didn't do it too tight since I knew the insert still had to fit in there. It was a tight enough squeeze as is :)

After putting it together, I opted to add some cute little snowflake buttons I found at Michaels. I just cut the backs off of them with some scissors. To hang it, I used some jute and hot glued it to the back.
