Cozy White Cottage Christmas Decor | Living Room 2023

It's December 1st! Today we marked it with breakfast with Santa, and a visit to the Christkindlmarkt. It's a tradition we do every year. It was snowing on us like crazy, but totally worth it! These German inspired markets are seriously so fun and I love to see the traditions they have come closer to home.

In celebration of the 1st of December, I'm finally sharing my cozy white cottage Christmas living room decor with you. I have to admit right now, I'm sure this will change by the time Christmas comes...but I couldn't wait any longer :)

The entrance to my living room is marked with this amazing arch. At one point in time, we invited a realtor into our home to give us some suggestions when we were thinking about moving. She said to get rid of the arches. Make it complete square. That comment went in one ear and out the other :)

Lot's of layers and textures are the best way to get the cozy aspect into any home. During Christmas time, I cram in more layers than normal :) It's a full maximalist Christmas decor, that's for sure!

You'll notice throughout these pictures I have my TV turned into some art. This is my new channel, and I've just uploaded a couple of hour to 2 hour videos full of cozy winter vibes for your TV. I seriously just make these videos for me, so I can use them ... but figured I should share with every one!

One of my favorite little corners is my big Ikea chair. I bring the cozy to it with a big sweater blanket, sweater pillow and faux fur rug. I just created these tabletop trees made from tassels, lace, and bells. You can see the tutorial here.

I sprinkled lots of sisal bottle trees throughout my decor. But, I still used my fair share of other trees and greenery as well. This is the first share of my white mantel with you guys! I painted it shortly after my fall home tour. I was so excited to see it all decorated for Christmas!

I made some cableknit stockings last year and absolutely love them! (tutorial here) The bigger the better is how I see it for the stockings! My mantel is full of mirrors with hung garland and bells. I love the magic of the mirrors with the twinkle of the Christmas lights at night.

My tree this year is lots of white, faux green stems and white berries. I've already added more gold accents that I will share soon on my social media channels :)

For my coffee table, I put together some of my favorite crocks and added some flocked trees and stems. I opted for a faux fur rug for the "table runner". I may have gone overboard in here with those faux furs :) I think I have about 4...not to mention the ones in my dining room adjacent to this room. I'll share my dining room with you next week along with my bedroom.

Talking about my dining room...here's a little peek at my new wallpaper (linked here). As for the couch....layers of blankets and cozy pillows are the way to cozy up an mainly white space. The sweater pillows are from Target. Do you remember in 2020 or 2021 when all the shipments were late for Christmas? I went a few days after Christmas to Target, and they were just putting out all their Christmas decor for 70% off. I snagged all these pillows for a steal! I seriously wish I bought more, but I have no storage for these let alone more :) They are unavailable know but I added some similar ones to bottom of this post in the "Shop This Room" section.

I wish the lighting in here was better and I could capture this hutch corner better. This corner changes periodically through the year, but not by much. It shows that sometimes you just have to switch out a few things to add your seasonal decor.

Can't miss this little guy. For this Christmas' decor, I added frosted pinecones, spindles, and vintage mercury glass ornaments. My cat, Willow, is not thrilled for the new additions. She sleeps in here almost every night .. or day. I removed the spindles and ornaments and she refuses to sleep by the pine cones :) She has found her spot though on one of many of the faux fur rugs lying around.

And that's the tour! Would you believe me if I told you this view has already changed? I have added some inspiration from my last post already to this room. Making it a little more cozy! Check out my social pages once again and I'm sure I'll post them there soon!
