Mini Mason Jar Tea Light Ornament

Mason jars are huge right now. But, did you know they come in a ton of different sizes? Like itty bitty cute sizes too? I found this mason jar the, fell in love and knew it would look so cute hanging in a tree.

 For this project you'll need:
Mini mason jar (or baby food jar)
Glue
Paint brush
Salt
Garnish (lol I know that's a food, but it works in this case, doesn't it?)
Tea light

To get the 'snow' look, just brush on some glue onto the outside of the jar and then roll it into some salt.

To hang it, poke a hole in the top of the lid; I just used a sharp knife to do this. I then got some jute, knotted it and slid the loop through the hole. To make sure it stayed, I hot glued it on the bottom. Plus, this helps cover the jagged edges from the hole.

I then just used some fake leaves and balls from beaded garland (apparently I like to use those a lot :) ) and glued them onto the jar. Then put in the tea light and turn it on for some glow! Or just leave it as is so you don't have to turn it on all the time. :)

  1. I must say, I absolutely adore every one of your little ornaments that you've made so far! I'm keeping a mental note and am going to try making some after Thanksgiving :)

  2. This is adorable. I wonder if they make tea lights with batteries. That would make it pretty simple.

  4. Why salt? Think my animals would try to eat them if I used salt. Lol!
