Repurpose A Bar Stool To A Nighstand

Since redoing my bedroom awhile ago, I've been wanting a new nightstand. The nightstands that were originally there have found there place somewhere else. I opted to buy some small cheap nightstands from Ikea to take their place while back and have just hated them.

So, when I came across this bar stool on sale at Hobby Lobby for $16, I jumped for the opportunity to stuff it in my car (along with 4 other tables...but we won't get into that :) ). I knew it would make a great repurposed project...and look wonderful in the guest room.

This was a simple project; all I had to do was paint and string some rope around the foot rests.

The rope is to make an additional shelf. I was going to do it at the upper rests also but decided that I liked the look of one better, and it gave more room to put taller objects.

Now I'm really wishing I had bought one more for the other side of the bed! Maybe...just maybe there will still be one left :) ...a girl can always hope lol
