Here's what you will need to make this vintage-inspired cordless lamp:
- Candlestick - I found these beautiful vintage beauty for mine (set linked here)
- Decorative glass bowl - about cereal size
- Shot glass or votive glass holder
- Nano-tape or E6000 glue
- Remote controlled battery operated tea lights
- Finial or small brass knob
Apply a strip of the tape onto the top of the candlestick. If the candlestick is more narrow, I would suggest using some E6000 glue.
Step 2:
Step 2:
Grab a small brass knob, or a finial from an old lamp shade.
Put some glue or tape onto it, and then secure onto the top of the glass bowl.
Now display!

How pretty did this come out?! I think the chunkier candlestick turned this into such a pretty piece! I tried it with a thinner candlestick at first, and didn't get the same look.
I love that this is remote control. It makes it super easy to turn it on and off. I used the tape on mine so I can get to the tea light just in the case the battery runs out.
Just when I stopped looking for things to collect, it looks like I'll be on the search for more bowls so I can make more of these for the rest of the rooms in my home :)

And when it's off, it still looks just as good. These retail for over $30 online for a similar look. I found this bowl for a $1, the shot glass for a $1 and everything else I had on hand. Out of pocket this would still cost waaay less...plus you get to customize it! Image this with a pink glass or green?
