I’ll be the first to admit it—Hobby Lobby wrapping paper is usually my go-to. I mean, it’s thick, pretty, and just good, right? But there’s something extra special about receiving a gift that has a little more thought and love wrapped into it. That’s why this year I decided to wrap some—okay, not all… let’s be real haha—of my presents with a little more intention than usual. And the best part? I’m using items I already had around the house… and I’m betting you have them too!

Supplies:
Jute/ribbon
Green springs (real or faux)
It's pretty simple so no tutorial needed, just pictures :) Place the doilies down first, wrap the ribbon around, finish with the fruit, greens, or even pinecones!
These doilies are actually from Amazon, can you believe it? Here's the link. They are reasonable priced as well! You can also find other doilies are thrift stores for like a buck a piece. Or, use paper doilies, they work well too! The ribbon is from Hobby Lobby. My tip, buy the velvet ribbon during the fall and summer before holiday hoarding starts! Really, it's hard to find these when December comes along. I use them all over my house for so many things.
These green springs are from Trader Joes. You can get a huge bundle for just a couple of dollars. Or, if you have some evergreens around your house, just snip those!
The oranges and grapefruits are my favorite things to decorate with during the holidays. I have a tutorial for how to make there here.
I also “wrap” a few books under my tree before the presents even arrive. It instantly keeps the tree from looking so empty and adds so much character. I love stacking them, tying them with ribbon or twine, and even layering in a little greenery on top. It feels cozy, intentional, and honestly like decor all on its own—plus, once the real gifts start showing up, everything blends right in like it was meant to be there all along.
