Here we go....

This blog is dedicated to my husband. My dear husband that would not stop bugging me to open a Facebook account. The way I see it is that he has all my stuff on his account so why would I need one? Right? Thats what I thought. So, instead I decided to create a blog that will offer useful information and great home decorating ideas to my friends and loved ones and all the others that decide to join along the way.

We just moved into a beautiful house in April, its a new build so it doesn't have any outstanding old world charm that I've always wanted, oh well. Oh, and yeah, it doesn't have a yard either. But according to my husband, we're working on that. So, hopefully by winter we'll have a nice yard up and a fence for Max (my cute little 80lb puppy). We moved into this 3500 square foot house with pretty much a couch, end tables, a coffee and a kitchen table to our name. Everything else was handed down (I'm still not sure if we have to give them back or not yet) XXfingers crossedXX. Our furniture and accessories fit perfect in our little 700 square foot apartment, but left much to be desired when we moved into a 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath, family room, plus front room, plus giganto dining room house. That doesn't even count the unfinished basement which will soon be home of 3 more bedrooms, another bath and a huge great room. So, this blog is going to be a testament of how decorating on a budget can truly change the style and character of a house; making a cold, lifeless house a warm and loving home.

  1. I soooo love your blog!! I also moved into a new home in April and have been trying to decorate on a dime while we scrape to buy all the paint we need. Our home is 3800 sq ft and we have that huge, unused front room/dining combo (my nemesis!). Thanks for your ideas - now where did I put that spare change? I have some decorating to do.
