Cozy Christmas Dining Room Decor | Tour 2021

I was so excited to get done decorating for Christmas in the early part of November....or so I thought I was done :) I literally just updated my dining room again yesterday! I liked the simplicity of my original Christmas table decor, which I will share with you soon, but I kept wanting to add more. So, this is my second version.  :) I went with total cozy Christmas vibes in here.

For the Christmas table decor, I took out all my candlesticks...in fact, didn't use a single one! That's actually quite shocking thinking about it. I don't think I've done a tablescape without a candle ever. I used three faux trees and potted them terracotta pots for the main section. I placed them on a table runner I got awhile back. I love the grain sack look of the runner. I then bunched it up a little bit to add some interest. I placed three white ceramic houses in by the trees and sprinkled them with fairy lights.

For the Christmas place settings, I used some old and new things. The chargers are from Kirklands, the plates passed down from my husband's family, the small tobacco basket and place card holder from Hobby Lobby past, and the pinecones...well, they are pinecones...from a tree :)

I added a little bit of Christmas cheer on my buffet in the form of wreaths, trees, and a little bit of fresh greens. Fresh greens placed randomly throughout your house gives the best smell of Christmas! My favorite is by the bathtub. Do it, you won't regret it come bath time :)

These drawers are still a fave of mine, I decorated around them with vintage terracotta pots, candles, and greens. This buffet doesn't stay the same for long anymore! It's a fun place to change up.

This room gets so dark during the day now that we are losing daylight. Winter months are a drab in here. I caught a good glimpse of sun peaking through the doors during this shot. We live right by a decent sized mountain that the sun sets on like at 2 pm. Serious. No fresh sun in here past 2 pm during the winter months is so sad and dreary. Another reason why I like my bright whites! It helps with those dark winters.

If you have been following along on my tours, you'll notice a theme this year in my Christmas decor: whites, browns and greens. I may add some pops of red as it gets closer to Christmas....seeing that every family member in my house has asked for me to add it, ha! In the case I do, I'll be sure to share :)

This room contains tons of layers and textures. I said one time, there's a minimalist and then there's me. :) I am definitely the opposite of a minimalist...quite the maximalist actually. For me Christmas is all about maximizing and finding the textures and warmth through cozy layers :)

What's your favorite way to decorate for Christmas? Do you go all out, or do you keep it pretty simple and minimal? I obviously add lots of things, so I would say my color combination is minimalist to make it not so overwhelming :)

I'll be sharing my cozy Christmas bedroom tour next week! Check out the other tours of my Christmas home here:
