My Christmas Front Porch With Command Brand

I am proud to be a Command Brand sponsored blogger, and as part of my responsibilities, I get the opportunity to evaluate Command Brand products. Opinions are my own and additional products used in the project were selected by me.

I'm not usually one to decorate my porch, but for Christmas, I go all out. I just love Christmas decor especially when there's snowfall all around it. Unlike this picture :) It's still Fall at our house apparently. Leaves still on the bushes. But, at least I'm all set and ready to go when it snows!

I had a ton of fun this year with our lights. Since my husband says he won't do the lights on the roof unless we get a decent ladder (who says you need a ladder anyway :) ), I decided that I should do something a little more on our porch. Enter....Command Outdoor Light Clips!

These little things are amazing! Since I couldn't on the roof, I decided to add a little more lights to our french doors. I thought of a few different designs and ultimately decided on doing a little Christmas tree on each door. I started with the top and placed a single clip right in the center. I then went down a few inches and added one a little to the right. Then down a few inches, added one to the left. You can see how I did it in the picture below, following the red lines. I didn't measure anything, just eyed it. For the bottom portion, I made the 'stump' by bringing the string of lights straight down from the middle.

Once I placed all the clips, I then clipped the lights right into the clip and zigged (or zagged) it back to the next one.

The tree ended up looking like this. I added more lights on the bottom than the top just as preference.

Since I used white wire lights, you can barely see them during the day.

But they sure look beautiful at night!

Now, let's get back to the day time and take a look at the rest of the porch, shall we? This is my go-to way to hang garland on our porch every year. I just swag it and attach it with red bows. I absolutely love this look...especially when snow is sitting on top!

And the other side of our porch. I decided a few years ago that I really like the look of a full size rug out here rather than a door mat. I changed this one out this summer and love the punch of pattern.

A also hung the wreath on the door with a Command  Outdoor Large Brushed Nickel Metal Hook. These are awesome and a great solution for hanging wreaths on doors! They are also designed to hold strongly on a variety of surfaces, including paint, wood, tile and more, making  them the perfect holiday hanging solutions for wreaths, stockings, banners and garland to mantels, doors and walls. I hang all my stockings now with Command hooks, FYI.  Now I can ditch the stocking holders that fall over all the time ;)

In this little corner, I decided to layer it up like crazy....and am hoping for no crazy winds any time soon :) The blanket is actually a tablecloth; I just fell in love with the color and plaid and knew it would be perfect for this space! And that cute little deer head peaking through, he's made his way throughout the house and I think this space is his new home!

And who doesn't like lanterns? Obviously I do :) I probably have too many, but they look so good when glowing at night! I only light them on Christmas Eve; it's sort of becoming a tradition.

Here's the rest of the porch at night. I am so glad I added those trees and the extra garland to the french doors. I usually just keep those empty and focus on our main door. These Christmas trees really look beautiful at night in person!
