Hi everyone! Welcome to this years Fall home tour put on by Marty with A Stroll Thru Life! This week I've teamed up with 29 other amazing bloggers to showcase our Fall homes. If you just came from Simple Stylings, welcome! I love Summer's style...so beautiful! If you are new here, I'm Alicia. We moved into our home 6 years ago and have been in the process of making it ours one little DIY project at a time...and some stops at Ikea, Home Goods, and a few other good stores along the way too :)
Neutral Fall decor and decorating ideas from Thrifty and Chic's 2015 Fall Home Tour

It's still 90+ degrees here, so welcoming Fall has been a little hard and because of that, I've kept the Fall decor to a minimal...for the most part. And really neutral. I'm actually surprised I have decorated at all. Last year it was into October before I even put up a pumpkin. I was in serious denial then :) Fall for me doesn't just mean pumpkins, it means lots of textures and layers which you'll notice throughout my tour. Alright...now be prepared for photo overload.

Welcome to our entryway! As you can tell from this vantage point, the only 'traditional' Fall color in my home is my orange-ish staircase. I like to keep things a little bit bright and airy around here.
 On to my front room:
I've added lots of layers and textures in here to welcome Fall...even if it's not really welcomed around here :) Because, we all know what follows Fall and well, I just hate Winter.

Here's our living room. If you told me a month ago that I would be adding black into my decor, I would have laughed at you. My intent was to add navy's into our home for Fall, but black found it's way in and I just fell in love with it against all the white. So, it's here to stay.
Here's our sweet pup in his usual resting spot enjoying our new rug. This rug brought so much warmth and texture into this room. I got it for a great deal from Amazon. This card catalog is also a new addition to the space found at Hobby Lobby.
I also added lots of layers with pillows and blankets on our couch. The pillows are mostly from Ikea. The floral type one was a steal from Target for $9, and the one on the right was from Amazon.

Here's our Fall mantel. I was tempted to not even put pumpkins on it...but then again, how could I resist? Our shelves have actually changed a lot since this picture which I'll share with you next week!
These pumpkins are from Michaels, and the aspen ceramic vases are from Hobby Lobby.
And for our dining room. I also added layers in here and pumpkins of course. A lot of this doesn't change per season just the tablescape.

The mirror is a DIY from a few years ago. The white platform is actually the seat off an old farmhouse bench. And that 'shiplap' wall was here years before the rage ;)
One of my favorite things to add height to a tablescape, or even to use as cake stands for parties, is turning a bowl upside down and placing a plate on top of it. They hold my pumpkins perfectly!
Our sideboard doesn't change much, just the addition of the sign. And of course, you have to add antler sheds if you are talking about Fall, right?
And here's the other side of our entry as you exit the house. All of these finds are from Home Goods with exception of the gazelle and blanket.
Hope you enjoyed the tour! Be sure to stop by Monica Wants It for another great tour today! You'll love her bold style :) And of course, give all these other wonderful bloggers some love too!
